BACKGROUND:
Upon graduating LSU with a bachelors degree in Construction Management, I accepted a job with the nationally recognized high rise concrete construction firm, Ceco Concrete Construction. As a project manager for Ceco, I traveled the Gulf Coast managing numerous high rise concrete projects during the condominium boom. Some of my most notable projects where in the Orange Beach, AL area especially the Turquoise Place Condominiums.
After three years of incredible experience as a subcontractor, I decided I wanted to broaden my construction knowledge by working as a project manager for a General Contractor. I was lucky enough to be offered a job with the large general contractor, Walton Construction. I proceeded to manage large scale projects with Walton over the next three years gaining great experience on several different projects. Some of these projects were; Wal-Mart Supercenter Expansion in Marietta, GA, and the Ritchie Bros Auction Facility in Houston, TX.
By the end of 2009, the economy was struggling and so was the large construction industry. Travel over large regions was almost a must to be able to keep staffs employed, and budgets were becoming tighter and tighter, resulting in difficult relationships and undesired outcomes. I was to the point in my life where I was starting a family in New Orleans, and being that I was born and raised just outside of town in Thibodaux, LA, I was ready to settle down and start a business of my own in the area that I love.
